Level 2 - Mobile & Compact Cranes

This work-based NVQ sits within the Cranes and Specialist Lifting pathway of the Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations, giving operators nationally recognised proof of competence in preparing, operating and shutting down mobile and compact cranes safely on construction sites.

Assessment takes place on site, using the equipment the learner operates day-to-day. Evidence is built through direct observation, witness testimonies, and photos/videos of the operator carrying out their normal duties, supported by knowledge questions or professional discussion.
